Celtic Crosses

For many people they might not think about the importance of the Celtic cross. If you are like me you probably view the Celtic cross as something that is present and just as another cross. However, as you can find on the internet from other sources to help bring the pagans into the Christian life Saint Patrick is believed to have combined two elements one from the Christian world in the cross and one from the pagan beliefs and that would be the circle or sun cross as the pagans called it.

This small, but important step helped to point out the importance of the cross to the pagans by linking it to the life giving sun that they were used to having for life. However, now with the Celtic cross the pagans would learn that the cross is a life giving function as well. In more modern times though the Celtic cross is seen as a cross that many people from Ireland and Great Britain can identify with as being from Ireland. Now what you might not realize is that the Celtic cross is very popular as a head stone. You can easily see this just by driving into almost any Christian cemetery and you can see that the Celtic cross is very popular. However, the Celtic cross is so lovely that they make a lovely home decoration as well. If you want to find a lovely Celtic cross you will want to visit my store in which you can purchase a Celtic cross by clicking here Celtic Crosses for sale
